Growth in Purpose

“Singleness of purpose is one of the chief essentials for success in life, no matter what may be one’s aim” – John D. Rockefeller.

Life presents us all with the choice to succeed. Our decision to succeed is heavily dependent on our wanting to succeed and implementing the actions required to do so while we are present here on earth.

The choice has been made and I believe you must be smashing your goals and ticking every box as you go along but not without encountering some obstacles on the way that tried to hinder you on your journey. The single thought of fulfilling your purpose and the beauty of focus kept you going; it has carried you through, even on days you thought you should quit. The thought of the difference you were making to those around you and your contribution to making their lives worthwhile kept you going. Just like life has to go through the soil for us to see a beautiful plant after it has been planted, so also your experience with the obstacles helped launch you further on the path of your journey for greater success. Choose to see the hinderances as stepping stones to your great success. You have come on a long journey and at this point must have gained a better understanding of what your purpose is. Even much more, strategised to ensure you achieve your purpose.

The next important step to remember would be to recognise the importance of having your purpose and how the action of you achieving the purpose affects more than yourself. Your purpose in life would involve servicing people around you: making your importance known and having it felt. Literally, SHINING! Understand that your journey is in the making of a story. As Blake Mycoskie once said, “If you organise your life around your passion, you can turn your passion into your story and then turn your story into something bigger…something that matters.” Keep growing and conquering whatever obstacle may come your way and before you know it, we would be telling your story.
