What is with all the name tagging anyway?

As a business owner, the number of staff in your organisation should not deter you from aiming for the best.

You might think that because you do not have the staff strength like the popular big shots, you would be unable to scale-up. Hold up for a few minutes: a tree did not just show up from nothing, it started at the seed stage. Start acting right now like the big shot you see your business becoming. Start right!

“Spend time upfront to invest in systems and processes to make long-term growth sustainable.” – Jeff Platt

Let’s highlight some of the steps that would help you on your journey of starting right.

  • Ensure your business is properly structured and has fulfilled the requirements of been legally recognised.
  • Set your foundation right. A house without a firm foundation is surely a house which would eventually collapse. It might look pretty while it is still standing but when the right pressure sets in, it would come crashing down. Do you understand what is required to run your business?
  • Do you have the right technology in place to enhance your productivity?
  • Are you documenting as you encounter a new client, thereby creating processes for your business?
  • Are you keeping a proper financial record to know if you are really in a business or not?
  • Are you collaborating with skilled professionals to make up what you lack in numbers as regarding your staff strength?
  • And the very critical question,
  • Are you being true with yourself about where you are and what you need to grow?

These are a few questions to help you evaluate your current state.

“Don’t be afraid to give up the good to go for the great.” John D. Rockefeller.

Now on the path to might!

After evaluating yourself and coming to terms with where you are at the moment, you must commit to your dream of becoming mighty.

  • Track yourself.

Write down where you are and where you know you really should be. Then, enhance yourself with the right tools to develop your person. This documentation allows you see for yourself the journey’s path.

  • Document the ideas that come to you.

As you build, your perspective would become refined and some things that seemed fine before your evaluation would either need to go or may require an upgrade.

As these new perspectives are observed, document them. No matter how trivial you may think the thoughts are.

  • Implement your new ideas.

Decide to implement and move on from planning! You may wonder why this is important, it is because you are still very much in your formative state – just like wet concrete in between layers of blocks.

You must zoom in on those ideas to ensure you maximise your thought-train as they come to you.

Continuing on this path, practicing these steps even going further to make them yours with the uniqueness of your ideas would nourish you like a seed that gets its nutrients to grow into a mighty tree.

Do not be in a hurry rather concentrate on your proper nourishment and firm foundation for that mighty place.
