Be it an audience of one or more-it is still an audience. In the business space, our audience consist of our clients and potential clients. Our desire is to pass across in clarity what value our business can offer them.<\/p>\n<p>You know what the message is and you are sure about it. The next step is to communicate this message to your audience in a manner that is clear to them and the required action(s) is\/are taken by every member of your audience.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>The process to communicating this message involves some steps and listed below are some:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Apply your passion<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Let them see that you believe in the value you are offering. Speak with sincerity and tell them your story. The truth is your client or potential client can tell when you do not believe in what you are offering. So believe it yourself!<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Speak with understanding<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Passion is a lot different from an understanding of how to render the service you are offering. How much skill have you acquired in the field of service you are offering-either by knowledge or experience? Can you really clear any doubt your audience might have about your service?<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Viewing from your audience\u2019s perspective<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Is your service offer purely from how you see things or are you offering value from how your audience wants their issues to be resolved? A lot of times, business people believe they know what their potential clients\u2019 need and they carry on with that mindset without really taking time to find what the client really wants. You need some time to think about this one.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><i>\u201cThe most important thing in communication is to hear what isn\u2019t being said.\u201d &#8211; Peter Drucker.<\/i><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<ul>\n<li>Getting to know audience\u2019s interest<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Business owners would learn a lot if they just slowed down a bit and listened to their potential clients. Pay attention to EVERYTHING! The client\u2019s words, body language and gestures and even their interests. All these add up-communication is both verbal and non-verbal.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Do your homework before you grade yourself<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Train yourself as a business person to be able to run quickly through these steps so that you are able to make quick decisions as regarding closing the deal.
