Perfection! 14-07-14 E22 min read
My phones kept buzzing like they were ‘hotlines‘. There were many surprises I must confess. People that I had not heard from in a really long while (some used it as an opportunity to ask for forgiveness for staying away for too long #YouKnowYourself and 🙂 yes, you are forgiven); auntys, uncles, cousins, friends, classmates (thanks @muzzy). It was a love filled day for me. My prince was in constant communication with me and I knew he had something up his sleeves; I just could not figure it out (trust me! I had done the mind game of trying to guess but I was not anywhere close to certain…lol, eventually I gave up and decided to enjoy each moment as it came).
Minutes before breakfast, I received a phone call from an anonymous person saying she was to deliver a cake to me and she did not say from whom. I was so curious! I went down to a special breakfast prepared in my honour by my sister (@ofure I love you). It tasted really delicious 🙂 . Thirty minutes after the phone call, there was a bang on the gate: someone went to check it out but came back saying the person outside was looking for me. On getting outside, there were two young men standing by a parked car. They wanted to know if I was ‘Uhunoma’ and I said yes and viola, I was handed a cake from my prince…I was all smiles. It was really funny, as I was still talking about how he pulled a fast one on me.
My family ‘oooohed and aaaahed’ over the cake while I went back to receiving phone calls and responding to messages. In the process of my actions, my prince walked in: what an amazing surprise! He did not come alone; he came with a BIG bouquet of flowers…yipeee! (my love for fresh flowers ehn, naija oyinbo…LOL).
They were so beautiful! Best part of the entrance was he had taken off the day to spend time with me (my favourite gift…yipeee! )
We spent some time with family at my place and after about an hour, I was finally given a glimpse of his plan. We were going out and I was to bring along a change of clothes. I had to beg to know a little more so I could make the right choice for the clothes I was to take along.
We set out saying ‘bye! See you later’ to my family and then the exciting surprise journey began (I was really curious and itching to know…LOL).
To be continued…
