Love So Amazing E72 min read
She did not dislike God like she made everyone believe, she was just really really afraid to open up to that kind of love. She did not want to be vulnerable. It took all the courage she could muster to ask Kate if she could accompany her to the last meeting held by the Chosen Generation Fellowship.
Exams were soon approaching and she did not want to be distracted with the burden she had in her heart. Kate had mentioned that she would be going home to see her family in Bodija before the revision week started. Deola had visited Kate’s family a number of times: she felt really comfortable and loved whenever she was at their home. ‘I think I would feel better if I change my environment for a few days’, Deola thought to herself and then decided she was going to tell Kate later that evening she would like to spend the weekend at her family home.
Deola and Kate arrived at the Osagie’s residence on Thursday evening. There was a feast waiting for them as they walked into the house; aromas of all their favourite dishes filled the air. It was a delight to be home. Deola was glad she did not stay back on campus brooding over what she could not resolve on her own. It was far more exciting to be in a place where she was loved.
As usual, she was going to be sharing Kate’s bedroom upstairs; no one would have permitted her to sleep somewhere else. Dinner was great and tales were told about the different happenings on campus and in town. Kate’s parents updated her about her extended family and church family. Soon it was time for bed; Kate’s father said the prayers and everyone retired to their bedrooms.
