Love So Amazing E11 min read
Deola Akinbowale and Kate Osagie were both going to be late for their morning lecture. It was ten minutes to the beginning of another class of ‘Macroeconomics‘. It usually took about fifteen minutes to walk from their accommodation on campus to the venue for the lecture. Professor Agbaje hated students strolling into his class after he had said ‘good morning’. Kate was praying seriously that the Professor would run a little late; they could not afford to miss this class. Rumour had it that there was going to be an impromptu test and they both needed every single point to boost their vision of finishing with a first class honours.
Kate was a bit worried about Deola; Deola had not been her usual playful self ever since the meeting she encouraged her to attend. Every Tuesday evening, Kate attended a Christian fellowship known as the Chosen Generation. The fellowship was having a picnic two days ago and she thought it was the best way to introduce Deola to the group since she had been so reluctant about joining any fellowship on campus. Deola’s general opinion about fellowships was that they were all hypocrites. Kate knew that Deola believed that there was a God somewhere but she could not understand why Deola desperately wanted to distance herself from Him. While rushing to put together all she needed for the day’s lectures, Kate mumbled a word of prayer for Deola saying, ‘Lord, help my friend Deola. I pray that You grant her peace and also grant me the wisdom to be the friend she needs at this very moment in Jesus name and one more thing Lord, help us not to get thrown out of class’.
