He was not brought up in a religious home hence, the little he knew about God was from the knowledge he acquired while passing through a Christian private secondary school but that did not still give him enough conviction to become a follower of this Christ. He was brought up to do what was morally right and to always treat people fairly. All the talk about giving his heart to someone up in heaven was never a discussion in his family home.
Gbemiro and Victoria were living proofs that indeed there was a clear difference between living morally right and actually being a follower of Christ. The more he stayed with them, the more he wanted what they had.
Unknown to him, his family especially his father had also been making enquires about this man known as Christ. Soon after Kolapo became Gbemiro’s personal assistant, the family became acquainted. Gbemiro gave his father ready updates about how his son was performing and how impressed he was with how much he was progressing. Victoria also kept in constant touch with his mother. It was not long before Kolapo’s father and Gbemiro started having ‘man to man’ conversations; Kolapo had told his parents that the family was a Christian family and indeed so, not like some people they knew that never missed a Sunday service but could not even boast of a good standing when it came to morals.
