Growth! Journey with us.2 min read
2017 was essentially a year of GROWTH and Reflections.
The year started out hazy with a glimpse of knowledge on how to proceed with the year. Some questions had been asked and understanding was finding its way to our domain. As the year went by, our questions became more specific and targeted producing the necessity to dig into a sea of knowledge and our understanding broadened as our specific questions were been answered while we encountered more experiences and tackled issues that before this year seemed unresolvable. But with each passing day, our vision became clearer to see they were only temporary obstacles that eventually became scalable as soon as we viewed them with our new lenses which had been acquired from our sessions with knowledge and understanding. Wisdom became our sister and discretion our intimate friend.
We reflected on the last couple of years and began the ‘had we known’ song until we were stopped by our sister, Wisdom. She told us there was no profit in dwelling on the past: what was most important was applying the lessons we were learning, understanding and applying the right tools to our lives. Initially, it was constantly tempting to journey down the path of regret and ignorance but every time we tried to travel that road, knowledge would quickly and sharply redirect us to our new path as we knew more of the right way now and it was clear that the old path would no longer work.
Focus became our map guiding us to stay on course. We had to learn to read the directions popularly known as goals (knowing where we wanted our destination to be). Our strengths were like a compass drawing out our life’s purpose and showing us that we could do more than we thought we could. In this we realised that we had to build capacity else, when we encountered storms along the way they might appear too overwhelming.
Most importantly we had to pay close attention to our minds, our thinking faculty where it all happens: the birthplace of the ideas that could transform and was already transforming our minds. We needed help, as we never knew brooding over nothing was absolutely different from ‘thinking productively’. We needed to know how to be imaginative again like little children. We realised it was easier than we thought to start; we just had to desire to imagine! Then along came ‘discipline’ to help us out. We are on that great journey with discipline and already we are discovering some wonderful truths.
According to Norman Vincent Peale, “You never really know what you can do until you try.”
We employ you to go on this journey with us into 2018 and experience a new depth of transformation in your life with physical manifestations to prove that it is worthwhile.
Have a blessed New Year!
