The time for his appointment drew close; that meant no more stops on his way. He headed straight for the train station since the park was only about a minute from the station. He boarded the train and spent his time in the train reflecting on the morning he had had. From the cafe to the park, from Alex to Amy, June and Lizzy; it was indeed an eventful morning. It was while smiling at the memories he remembered he had not called Anne to inform her that he had already boarded the train heading to the venue for his appointment. After the brief call to Anne, he went through the pictures on his smart phone and when he was done, he began to think about what he would say if asked certain questions in the cause of the appointment. He arrived at the venue 20 minutes after noon. He handed the printed confirmation slip to the security at the entrance of the venue to confirm that he had an appointment for an hour after noon. He was ushered into the venue where he was given a number; after his smart phone and other personal effects had been taken for safe keeping. Fredrick got into a big room where other people were waiting like himself for appointments with the visa agents. He went to a counter and his passport was collected to be forwarded to the next point. About 15 minutes after Fredrick’s passport was collected, his number appeared on the display screen and he was directed to the booth where he was to be interviewed. Just as he predicted, he was asked the questions he had reviewed in the train on his way there. He answered as he had rehearsed and he was told that he had the visa. Just as Fredrick’s passport was about to be stamped for the visa, he heard his sister calling out to him and asking him to wake up. ‘What! I’m not waking up. My visa has not been stamped on my passport that means no entry!’ His sister called his name again, ‘Fredrick Armstrong, wake up this instant! Mum wants you downstairs’. Fredrick opened his eyes gradually and could not believe his vision; he was actually in his bedroom at home. ‘That was really painful! Just when his passport was to be stamped, his sister woke him up. Could all that have been a dream?’. Fredrick gradually recollects his dream and realises ‘Alex’ in the dream was his high school classmate he had been thinking of calling just a few days before and ‘Anne’ in the dream was the girl he had a crush on and wanted to ask out on a date. ‘No entry. How I wish the dream was real’ Fredrick thought to himself as he headed down the stairs to go meet his mother.
